On April 12th, Canada’s National Ballet School’s First Position Steering Committee together with artScene Toronto presented “Breaking Down Boundaries” a panel discussion on the collaboration between art and health care, education and technology.
In partnership with the Young Patron Circle members of the Gardiner Museum, artsScene Toronto hosted an exclusive experience of the YOKO ONO: THE RIVERBED Exhibit.
The evening began with a private reception in the Terrace Room on the 3rd floor of the museum, followed by after-hours access to the participatory exhibition. This installation invited visitors to collaborate with the artist by interacting with the artwork itself.

We'll be celebrating the opening of the Winter Exhibition at the Confederation Centre of the Arts this Saturday!
We'll head to the Opening Reception: Winter Exhibitions around 7pm.
In partnership with Turnout, artsScene Toronto hosted a rehearsal for the National Ballet of Canada's Winter Season production!
The rehearsal was followed by a special reception with the opportunity to mingle with fellow artsScene Toronto members, Turnout members and National Ballet dancers, and listen to an educational chat from guest speaker Peter Ottmann, Senior Ballet Master.

On December 5, artsScene Vancouver presented its final event of 2017.
Hosted in the Vancouver Art Book Fair’s permanent space and created by artsScene Vancouver Chair Alistair Henning, the event was an installation and panel discussion themed around the past, present and possible futures of zine culture.
artsScene PEI hosted an evening of holiday food & drink, featuring a new collection of artwork by Norma Jean MacLean and a screening of seasonal short films from the National Film Board of Canada.
About the artist: Norma Jean MacLean
New work will feature a series of digital prints that visually process and organize past actions into new forms. The digital deconstruction of an oil painting made as an act of letting go is reconstructed into new defined forms in an attempt to keep it together.
