On December 5, artsScene Vancouver presented its final event of 2017.
Hosted in the Vancouver Art Book Fair’s permanent space and created by artsScene Vancouver Chair Alistair Henning, the event was an installation and panel discussion themed around the past, present and possible futures of zine culture.
In September, ArtsScene Vancouver was thrilled to be invited to the eighth edition of the Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series.
Now in its eighth year, the Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series seeks to discover the best emerging visual artists from across North America. More than 800 Vancouver artists applied, and the Vancouver finals featured seventeen of Vancouver's best emerging artists as chosen by Artsy.
In July we hosted our panel discussion, Why Analog Photography Matters As Never Before at 163 W Pender With analog photography currently experiencing a revival, the topic produced a lively discussion with panelists Allison White, Rick Etkin, Nicole Langdon-Davies, and moderator (and ArtsScene Co-Chair) Alistair Henning.
